About
Welcome! I'm Christine Chipman, a recreation therapist providing in-home, one-to-one activities to improve the quality of life of aging seniors. I specialize in delivering programs to seniors living with:
-
dementia

physical and mobility challenges

and chronic illnesses.
Time Well Spent is also dedicated to providing caregivers with important respite while their loved one is engaged in my programs.

I currently serve the Tri-Cities including Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody.

What is Recreation Therapy?
Recreation Therapy is a health care profession that uses recreation, leisure, and play to help individuals achieve independence and quality of life. As a Recreation Therapist, I reconnect seniors with past interests and assist them to discover new ones that will bring them happiness and improve their overall wellness.
Beyond companionship, my programs are tailored to the individual needs of my clients.
Social Connections
Loneliness and social isolation are significant health risks among seniors. That is where I can help. Time Well Spent joins the senior's support system to provide focused, customized programs to meet their emotional and social needs.

Physical Wellness & Mobility
I bring the exercise class to your home! I am a CareFit certified instructor trained by the Fraser Health Authority to deliver safe and effective exercise programs. Physical activity can boost energy level and mental sharpness, strengthen muscles and bones, and reduce the risk of falls.
Assessment & Evaluation
I provide ongoing monitoring of the client's progress and well-being. I am a Certified Recreation Therapy Specialists (CTRS) who is qualified to assess the needs of the client and provide regular progress updates to caregivers.
